MAY MEETING REPORT

Three cards were created that involved coffee, tea and a dessert cupcake! Fun card creations using A muse and Hero Arts stamps. The cupcake was my favorite ‘cuz I totally changed the Hero cupcake into a pattern and made the top out of pink glitter paper! All the cards were finished on the inside too.

We swapped our masculine themed cards and had 3 door prizes that were won by Amy, Cindy and Linda W. Definitely a fun evening was had by all.

JUNE SWAP: Red/White & Blue with Stars

Working one month ahead means July and patriotic themes. Since we typically don’t send 4th of July cards, I simply enjoy making red, white and blue cards all month long no matter what the occasion. You may use any theme as long as it is in those colors and you add a star (or stars) as an embellishment. Remember a card for the Everson!

JUNE PROJECT: American Eagle Day is June 20

In celebration of American Eagle Day, we will be creating cards with bird themes or anything that flies themes. I guarantee it will be a fun night!

I’m totally fortified to bring you lots of interesting classes from that event re-created in my style! Sherry and Cari were there, Heidi, Barb, Judy, Mary Ann to name a few. I saw two Rochester gals too. I am still flying high from all the classes I took and couldn’t sleep right for days!

PAPER CRAFT PLANET UPDATE: I’m pleased to announce that I am moderating two groups on Paper Craft Planet. One is called Anything But Cute Challenge Group and the other is We Love to Send a RAK Group that I took over for a woman who wanted to step down. I’m happy to report several of our local friends have joined Anything But Cute and I’m anxious for them to begin posting cards. We have weekly challenges and a variety of month-long activities to join in the RAK Group. This site is free and is a wonderful place to explore and expand your paper crafting skills and to meet other people who share similar interests. I have links to both groups on my blog if you are interested in checking it out!
